What is most important to you? If you don’t know what you want, someone else will be happy to figure it out for you!
I was trained in mathematics. Any mathematical system is built from the ground up by a set of assumptions. These “assumptions” cannot be questioned, and that is why they are called assumptions. They are the building blocks from which all other parts of the system are built. For example, in our day-to-day lives we assume that the shortest distance between two points is a line.
Well, the three areas above form a set of assumptions for the progressive mindset. And from them, many other beliefs can be extrapolated. If you want to know more about this, check out his book, Don’t Think of an Elephant. I suggest you get the All New edition, which came out in 2014.
But, that’s not my point here. My point here is that it’s good to know what you believe at your core. It helps you navigate many other areas of life, especially those that are challenging.
What are your core beliefs and how might they help you in the week ahead?
